It’s officially the first day of Fall and Costco has their mums on display. Mums are a beautiful way to decorate for fall and everyone can use them no matter your decor or green thumb experience. Set your fall decorating color palette by choosing from a variety of mum varietals. Create different levels by using different containers and sizes of mums. Consider adding pumpkins, gourds, grasses, twigs, and pine cones to create texture.

All Saints Pumpkins will arrive next week. This is a great local place to take the kids, snap a few photos and grab some decor. Trader Joe’s is also a great place for not only for mums, but pumpkins, succulents, and ivies.
Michael’s has plastic pumpkins in various sizes and Halloween and fall decor is currently on sale.

Consider hollowing out larger pumpkins to hold and display your mums and if you need one to last longer, use a faux pumpkin. Check out second-hand stores for vintage elements like baskets and tin containers for more of a farmhouse feel. If orange isn’t in your color palette, paint pumpkins and gourds in any colors you love.
